valuable bronze age comic books?
I have a variety of of bronze age comics, that I want to sell, looking for current value.
Ebay would be the way to go.
Check prices for your exact title and condition and price accordingly.
Check the advanced search for completed auctions as that tells you what they actually sold for.
You can buy books that tell you supposed value, but a place like Ebay, with hundreds of thousands of prospective buyers is a bit more real, and if you price them right, they should sell quickly, even in this economy.
Make sure and take large detailed photos and accurately describe the condition. Don’t call them “near-mint” if you don’t know what that really means to collectors, just describe and photograph what you see.
Make sure and set a reserve price that is the bare minimum you want for them so you don’t accidently sell a #1 Spiderman for $200 when it’s worth $10,000 or more.

Sorry but I gotta disagree with the guy below. A guide is worthless if that isn’t what people are paying. Ebay will show you EXACTLY what people are paying and have paid, not what some collector thinks they SHOULD pay. A guide also won’t take into consideration how the current state of the economy is which would affect the going rates of things like comics. Nothing wrong with having a guide, and Overstreet is a good one, but knowing you can get 10k for your comic and FINDING A PERSON WILLING TO PAY THAT can be two very different things.

spiritmountain1600 – I never said Ebay was the ONLY option, nor did I dismiss getting an Overstreet guide. I simply said Ebay was an excellent source for seeing what people were PAYING for the same comics worldwide. Ebay has millions of users all around the globe. There’s simply no better way to get your wares access to that many people.
I also never said to see what amatures were asking for their titles. I said to check completed auctions and see what the same titles had already SOLD for. Anyone can ask anything, but if a particular title regularly has sold for $xx.xx then that is a good number for the question asker to have at his disposal as that means that’s likely what he’ll be able to get also, provided the condition is comparable.
Maybe he’s a comic nut who has time to read through extensive guides, go to lots of websites and comic shows, but if not, I stand by what I said, and I’ve been an avid comic collector since the late 1970′s and have bought and sold MANY comics including number 1 issues of Spider-Man, Fantastic Four and many other similar titles.
