how whichto decifer with the xmen cartoon and movies when it comes to the comics?
the cartoon and movie arent linear obviously, most notable to mean is the phoenix thing…which one follows the comic more?
and where do i start with the comics? essential, uncanny, etc???
The cartoons are more aligned to the comics. I tend to think of the movies as an alternate universe since they are mostly adaptations of ideas from the comics. If you want to start reading the comics the Essential trade paperbacks are excellent. The Classic X-Men Essentials (3 vols) cover all comics from the original team and the other X-Men Essentials continue with the rest of the comics since the introduction of the team with Wolverine, Storm, etc.
